These people are nuts and completely out of touch with the populace on this issue. If you poll people around the country, the majority feel positively about their local public schools and teachers. Public schools are an important factor of community in towns and neighborhoods.

I’m pretty much abandoning CBS/NBC/ABC. If you’re looking for a major US newspaper that is not owned by a corporation, try the Philly Inquirer. It is owned by a journalistic foundation. I also like The Guardian.
