They should have him learn to play 1b while in the minors. It’s not like he was great at any other position. Maybe he’ll be better there and it will solve a problem when he starts hitting again and can come back up.

What about Santander? Not many people talking about him. A switch hitter with 40 home run power. Perfect DH. Some team will take Yoshida in a trade if they added mid-level prospect and some cash.
