Trains and that. Certified DLR enjoyer.
It may be designed like that intentionally, because then the bridge can be used as a public footbridge rather than just for rail passengers. I'm sure there's a better way they could do it though. Very strange way of doing it.

Not North-South. Just London. The Oxford to Milton Keynes line opening later this year is exactly the same. Unelectrified with Winslow station being a cookie cutter one like on the Northumberland line.

Chiltern do have some 196s put aside to operate Oxford-MK and later to Bedford services with. Definitely just a mistake here but worth keeping in mind.

Makes sense. This may be a controversial opinion, but in some cases I think it really should be easier to properly close some of these. Much better than this false pretence of temporary closure.

It's 100% just a way of closing the stations without having to go through the cumbersome procedures of closure. Both of them were very poorly used anyway, and not really worth the cost. But of course on paper they'll get around to fixing them eventually...

I wonder why Teesside Airport and Stanlow & Thornton still appear in the stats while other "temporarily" closed stations like Barlaston, Wedgwood, Redcar British Steel, IBM etc. don't

Surely New Street, but it's weird to see it that dead.

I wonder why they don't stop there on every service. Obviously not many passengers but surely it's easier than reversing in the middle of nowhere?

Luton station's roof is constantly in a state of disrepair. The whole station is horrible for a town of a quarter of a million people and also fully inaccessible by any means other than stairs.

Hahaha I've missed these

Looking forward to it 👀

Saw this earlier. Surely there are bigger problems in the world right now? It's literally advertising a convenience
