Finally got my Mac but it's giving me a lot of headaches with drawing programs

Whenever I try to draw with my huion tablet on clip studio, it just fails to register some strokes. This doesn't happen if I try to draw on Krita or if I use the iPad mirroring the screen

Anyone here draws on CSP + Mac?

Is anyone around familiar with mac laptops? Never had one and my job is offering enough money for a macbook air for office equipment, and I'm not sure whether to go for it, pay out of pocket the difference for a macbook pro, or just not get one
