Exactly. Absolutely flat emotionally, and rushed throughout. The andante comodo was breathless, the ländler mechanical — it felt like 3 burleskes, with Hollywood b-movie music as finale. The orchestra played beautifully, but was pushed unmercifully. A gross misrepresentation.
