The real problem is that they were willing to make this an issue. If gameplay is so easily shifted with a few downloads and it's not an intrinsic part of the game then none of the clans really matter.

Because this is primarily a story-based game with character interaction being a key part of the gameplay, and if major game-changing aspects of character interaction aren't a core part of the game then neither is character interaction a core part.

That's fine Paradox then is a company people shouldn't buy from if they're willing to pull this sort of trick. And considering it's a story-based game the fact that two distinct play styles can be blocked out without crippling it makes it clear the game isn't put together well enough for choice

So what? They already made it clear they have no confidence in the game as a result of trying to squeeze as much out of the first round as possible to make up for the fact that nobody's going to like it
