Can you explain why the jump ball resets the shot clock? There was only 0.6 on the clock when Avdija blocked it, shouldn’t that stay 0.6 when they jump it up?

I’m sure Alaska will try to force out anyone new but I do think they view it as a competitive edge against Delta. If a pax can choose between flying AS/DL from SEA or AS from PAE and that’s closer, they’d choose PAE if the price/schedule is right. Seems to work for the small-ish schedule they have

United couldn’t make it work because they focused on flowing pax over DEN/SFO, but those pax could mostly just fly nonstop from SEA. United had the wrong strategy entirely

A little surprised F9 couldn’t make LAS and PHX work but it’s an interesting market for them because they have to price competitively with SEA. Their customer base isn’t “paying a premium” for PAE, so if the revenue is no better why fly PAE at all

and DEN could very easily just be too small

Hard to know the veracity of anything but zero mention of any Seattle growth / new routes is pretty telling
