Uggh. Goat's head thorns are coming out already. This is what it looks like. Creepy crawlie with nasty bike tire poke-adelic antlers. Don't ride over or near this stuff.

Was out on my weekly trash pick up hike along the neighborhood. I'm glad the protected bike lane on Longhorn Dr is staying (along with the rest of stuff not on S Melrose and Sycamore Ave in Vista). Saw 5 kids on ebikes using them, all riding sensibly and responsibly.
Not much tree debris either.

Bike commuting is a thing! When I used to drive to work, I hardly ever stop at shops along the way, spending money on gas. Now I spend money at local shops along the routes instead, and get to say hi to friendly dogs and birds (and some people, too).

Grateful to have a warm, dry, and cozy place to shelter in as the rain moves into town. There are a lot of homeless folks here in San Diego who don't have such a place. It's no wonder many of them seem to have gone made. I would, too, after so many days and nights in the elements.
