Devil May Cry 5- A triumphant celebration of DMC and the stylish action genre as a whole. The best feeling combat and weapon selection in the series combined with fun characters and cutscenes, great visuals, hype moments, and just the right amount of fan service makes for a best-in-genre experience.

The story is where the rushed development is most apparent. Why is Trish even here? Why did she disguise herself as a black/brown woman for half the game? Why does Lady never show up again after her first cutscene? Why does Dante get zero character development whatsoever?? Fascinating game.

Devil May Cry 4: A great combat system surrounded by a rushed, incomplete game. Playing the game in reverse as Dante was the least of its problems - the enemies were *not* designed around his gameplay, the repeat bosses were egregious (even the FINAL boss was a repeat!!)… (1/2)

Devil May Cry 3: A triumph in action game design. The combat was so smooth and satisfying, the bosses were excellent, the music kicks fucking ass… The style of this game is near unmatched and it’s an absolute joy to play. And that final boss….. Good lord…….

Severance Season 1 (Rewatch): One of the best Season 1s i’ve ever seen. It’s thrilling, funny, disturbing, and visually striking, with fantastic mysteries, some of which get answered but most of which leave just the right amount of intrigue. To say im excited for season 2 would be an understatement.

Cowboy Bebop: We’re three for three so far in 2025, this was fantastic! Spike, Jet, Ed, and Faye are so fun to follow and watch on screen. I loved the varied locations and stories the format allows for, and the underlying plot threads about the Red Dragon/Vicious, and Faye’s past were great as well
