tl;dr

didnt hate it as much as i thought, the non toothless dragons were pretty good, the set designs and props were great, i liked snotlout's additonal patheticness, and the added depth to astrid was reallt nice. everything else sucked and several dialogue choices really pissed me off
alt id battling the green death's score is also the same but weirdly timed a little the music cue when the kids swoop in still hits man "we're confusing our own dragons!" no shit fishlegs i actually kind of prefer this red death no no no "you dont have to go up there" was SO much better wtf do you mean "whatever happens up there" my fucking ass you have no right "i was only trying to protect you SHIT THE FUCK UP STOICK THE EDITORS HIT A MUSIC CUE RIGHT FOR ONCE lmao toothless really let stoick and astrid stew in thinking hiccup was dead overall honestly i did not hate it as much alt id as i thought, i liked it more than thw Most of what i liked was in the latter half of the movie though toothless sucks, his design lost a lot of expression and that led to him losing that sense of intelligence hiccup is a mixed bag, i like him being 20 something but his acting was hit or miss astrid was surprisingly great, other than some odd dialogue writing. it makes hiccstrid stronger tho which is neat surprisingly i liked snotlout more than the original. he's more pathetic and funnier that way imo
