Out for our walk today and miles from anywhere we came across a brick made by the Dorking Brick Co embedded in the footpath. Would love to know how it got there.

A walk along the sea wall at Milford on Sea will bring you to these brightly coloured lock ups. Each door a different colour to it's neighbour. The railings really are at an angle.

After the Lactobacillus bacteria in my last batch of Sauerkraut died due to the heat we've been having thought I'd start a new batch of mustard. 1 cup of yellow mustard seed and 1 cup of black mustard seed and plenty of organic cider vinegar with the mother.

On our walk last week experimenting with a new recipe on the Fuji from Richie Roesch on Fuji X Weekly we walked under this canopy of leaves, the soft dappled light added to a sense of quite in the forest.

Standing on top of the Bronze age barrow at Wiggonholt Heath today the view was tremendous. Looking over the South Downs National park in the distance you can see Bury and Duncton. 1500 BC and the site of Burials and cremations by the Beaker People.

The Gage family have owned the land at Firle since acquiring it from the Levett family in the 15th century. The manor house was first built in the late 15th century by Sir John Gage, who made Firle Place his principal home. They also make a great cup of coffee.

Blocked in gun emplacement at Hurst castle in Hampshire UK. In the late 19th century this housed a 12.5-inch rifled muzzle-loading (RML) 38-ton gun. The shells could penetrate 14.8 inches of wrought-iron armour at a range of 2,000 yards.
