This year - turkey leg, marinated in a 1:5 soy sauce to water mix for a couple hours, then some of same left in Pyrex with carrots and celery shown; baked potato; and stir fried cauliflower, red Bell pepper, and green onions with garlic and hot red pepper.

My #Thanksgiving dinner: roast turkey drumstick, with celery to maintain moisture; carrots roast in the pan below the turkey; mushrooms sautéed in butter and garlic; green beans in ginger and soy sauce, with a little Fresno pepper kick; and baked potato with sour cream. Cranberry sauce for dessert…

Oof, South (West?) side of Shimbashi Station feels like it might as well be Kabukicho… But I was not about to miss out on a favorite gyoza bar. Bonus: Gyoza-kun!

Really enjoyed Nezu jinja. Here are a couple snaps from my phone, from a few years ago.

Chicken quarter marinated ~10 hours in soy sauce & water, baked at 425F with a broiler finish, an under-skin rub of Hungarian paprika, cumin, black pepper, thyme; broccoli & mushrooms with garlic & ground coriander; carrots & celery with garlic & ground cumin, sesame oil, and a splash of soy sauce.
