I had an 'offbeat' RL account on the other site. Generally a lover of weird/nerdy comedy, sport, gaming, and screaming into the void. They often go hand in hand in hand in hand.
The strategy the 49ers deployed to try and find attackers was definitely wrong, but some of the reactions to that have been completely hysterical. They've backed Farke to the tune of £100m, now it's time for him to figure out a solution up front, and for the existing players to step up. Believe.

High risk, high reward. A 91-run 1st wicket stand in just 12 overs is a brilliant start when chasing 224. We got into that position playing high risk, might as well get out that way too. Hindsight really is 20-20

Yes he is, and at £12m he's good value. Might not be a 'flagship' type signing, but he's solid and we need solid. I don't see this as an Orta-type signing at all tbh - far less risk involved. As always though, transfers are subjective until you actually see them perform.

We've been linked with Longstaff for ages though? Seems a solid option at a reasonable price. CM is one of those positions where we need to raise squad depth and add PL experience - SL offers both without breaking the bank. A sensible move IMO!

It's absolutely nothing like the Hundred. I actually think the Hundred has been a big benefit to the domestic game - only time I see proper sell-outs at the grounds, and promotes both the men's and the women's games to so many young people.

It's absolutely nothing like the Hundred. I actually think the Hundred has been a big benefit to the domestic game - only time I see proper sell-outs at the grounds, and promotes both the men's and the women's games to so many young people.

Why does that do your head in then? Sure elite-level male footballers might be "better" on a technical level, but at this point you're just arguing semantics in a way that helps no-one

They did identify a few, but none wanted to come. You could make an argument about not finding realistic targets, but I think the main point is not wasting money in a panic. With more money and clout behind us in the prem I'm confident

To be fair, quality number 10s are hard to come by in the 2nd tier. This is the recruitment team that brought us Tanaka, Bogle, Rodon, Solomon etc and haven't wasted money on a player worse than Aaronson - so I'd argue they're doing fine and I'd be confident in them next summer if promoted.
