As opposed to what happens now with a ref like Carley just watching out for one or two things and letting more infringements go because of the picture painted. Also the SA back row were jumping into the scrums on set, kicking their legs in the air. Not sure if it is illegal but it sure looked odd!

Having the touch judges and the AR watching a scrum with the equal power of decision making as the ref, would introduce a lot more jeopardy if you have to be perfect to get scrum yellow”s and PT’s. It would speed the game up because teams would take their points or kick I the corner to reduce risk.

There’s a lot of chat online about the imbalance of importance of scrums on the game when it comes to penalties, yellows and P-Tries. What about before issuing a yellow or PT the scrum is reviewed from all angles by video ref to ensure the team benefitting is fully legal too!

We are actually hoping he gets picked. That Leinster heavy team haven’t a hope of beating the All Blacks and we don’t want them to have Jack to blame. It’s going to be lost guys 2 nd game and NZ are battle hardened. There is no way we win that.

My favourite part was the first try, when Sam missed TWO tackles in 5 seconds on the kick return of his own poor kick which resulted in the try! Plenty more besides Matt at it, and your thoughts on Farrell’s treatment of him? Personally blaming him for a loss then putting him out for media duties before a game knowing he isn’t starting him! That’s never happened before.

They are also angry at the double standard of the media analyzing and criticizing Jacks game all last year with Farrell personally calling him out (which is terrible man management and coincided with a drop in form). Compare that to the way the media and management have glorified this guy!

Unfortunately for Sam, He’s getting the brunt of the frustration that’s been building for years, where every 50/50 call goes the way of a Leinster player with the excuse of familiarity with other players and systems. Now it’s not even 50/50 but the promise of a high ceiling.
