Smithy
@smithy132.bsky.social
I am old enough to remember beta video and adults smoking on public transport, but not old enough to remember the Depression, Free Love, or Water Gate (I was born, but I was more interested in breasts for sustenance than politics at the time).
See. To be fair they caved even quicker than I thought. Piss weak effort by the Dems, they truly are total rubbish.

They will cave in. They always do. Trumps will have the Republicans destroy the Dems in the media and the Dems will cave in. Dems don't know how to fight dirty, so they always lose to those that only fight dirty. Republicans are street fighters, democrats are dancers. Sad, but true.

Yeah that's what they said about Vietnam and Afghanistan.

Won't happen. And we really shouldn't want it too.... The chance of all out civil war if that happens is very high. Trumps cult followers are largely armed and looking for a reason. The US is buggered for a long while yet.

Pumped back up again. The insanity of it all is maddening.

I fear a female president won't happen from the Democrats until the Dems realize they are over estimating the intelligence of the average US voter and dumb it down to Republican levels. Bloody tragic but sadly appears factual.

I tend to agree with education not being for profit. However can you define your position on health care. Does that include medicines as one example?

We were bad at raising kids. We thought we knew better than our parents. We were wrong.

Hahahaha yeah I noticed. I agree though, drag the pens out to sea.

I just read your profile. You're a fellow Tasmanian.
What do you think about salmon farming?
December 8, 2024 at 3:59 AM
It started to create sustainability, but at its current rate of growth, it will (and likely already has) cause massive losses of local fish stocks.
December 8, 2024 at 3:56 AM
I think you sum it up beautifully with the last line, pro-union but not pro-worker.
Salmon farming is a political hot potato. Imo its a much-needed industry at its core but it has become so big it is now causing more environmental damage than it set out to stop.

Do you think he has a real chance at majority? I don't.
I think he is likely gone for all money or hangs on by a fingernail. Interested in your opinion, I am not a troll and I promise I won't attack you.

You are no doubt correct about logistics. There seems to be a big swing from Labor at the moment, Albo is deeply unpopular in Tasmania's northwest region where I am from.
Just spent time in the Western Brisbane region, they hate Albo.
Polls show a very high likelihood of a hung government.
December 8, 2024 at 3:41 AM
Big mistake for Albo to call it early in my opinion.
December 8, 2024 at 3:28 AM
Foolish. It's an election-winning platform to go hard on immigration.
For the record I am pro-immigration within reason, our country has been made great by those who came and built from every nation on earth. But it is time to have a serious discussion about the future.

I feel the same way about beer batter.

Great choice.

No offence intended, but I couldn't care less what they say on twitter anymore.

I agree there are some frustrating bugs, the game feels a little undercooked. I am still having fun with it though. I must admit I have never played the first coaster game, I jumped in at zoo. 50 years old and just discovered I like this kind of game.
