Can we just see the return of the political elite please? A week into amateur hour and all we've seen is the loss of D&EI, eradication of sound policy with its and balances, and dumbo's claims that the Gaza intrusion by Israel could be solved by simply clearing out the Palestinians.

It's one thing for Trump to have gotten into office once, but despite his criminal acts, lies, hatred, lack of class and sense of decorum, there were enough people who believed in him, voted him in a second time, and will continue to sing his praises despite it all. Meanwhile, 1/3 didn't vote.

I'm with all of you, but my news feed of US news is like watching a chunks and chunks of hard-fought legislation and bilateral policy being ripped out by the day. We are witnessing why democracies should exist, but how easy they can erode in the wrong hands.

I left fb a few weeks ago for many reasons, but one of them was their decision to not share posts from Canadian news sources. Bluesky enabled me to reconnect with them, but it's a double-edged sword. For sanity's sake, intake of media needs to be regulated. My feed is overwhelmed by Trump's antics.
