I know Lange was pretty open about how much the move stung him and for a long time after. I would hope seeing how much everyone today is cherishing having his calls for the biggest moments in this era of Pens hockey would make it up to him.

It feels like such a random footnote to his career.

I had trouble confirming so I may be off here, but I feel like there may be some bad blood on Sullivan's part with Boston ownership based on how his tenure with them ended in 2006.

"It is pretty clear that Guentzel’s trade away from the Penguins was the turning point when the team stopped trying to win in the present." Yup! Still think the cleanest way to mark this era of Pens hockey is Hossa trade - Guentzel trade.
