I struggle to understand why we don’t apply more pressure to feed the hungry instead of spending resources to hide them so we don’t have to face their reality.
It feels like comfort for the wealthy outweighs compassion for the hungry — as if erasing people is easier than feeding them.

Funny how there’s always “no money” for health care, food, or housing—until ICE needs billions. Then the vault swings open. If cruelty had a budget line, this would be it.
