Last night the Kennedy Center sucumbed to any hope of a non-partisan future. Not only bc of the event but by sending this tweet from their official account. Glad it went earlier this year and saw it one last time. Name change anticipated. No disrespect to Kirk or his mourners.

If the Kennedy Center is renamed for the president, I’m never going there again. He is an odious man and doing some political equivalent of peeing on political and cultural icons to mark them as his own.
