this strain of feminist pessimism has always baffled me. they seem to believe that misogyny is some kind of internal inevitability for which harms must be mitigated, rather than a societal construct that can be, eventually, rooted out

please keep to heart that each and every one of these attempts to eradicate trans women from public life, from professors to girl guides, is a form of misogyny so efficient in how it keeps the regime of sexual difference intact that it smoothly undercuts everyone else's rights

one of the things about transphobia that grinds you down on a daily basis is not the active stuff that happens to you, but the knowledge that you're almost destined to lose whatever social conflict you might have with a cis person
