Many, MANY people don’t understand that the insurance they have IS Medicaid because it’s packaged under different names in different states. They will be surprised and upset and probably told to blame Biden.

I used to have a simple rule: it’s a tool or it’s a toy. If you’re using said item as a tool, no problem; toys go in your backpack. Headband, chapstick, troll-haired pencil… tool or toy? I think the same would work for phones IF teachers were supported in enforcing classroom rules.

You did lose rights as well though, even if in a more progressive state. You can no longer travel freely outside your state, confident you’ll be able to receive appropriate care in a medical emergency.
