Besides still following both of them on Insta because I never clear my follows (which I do now see was a mistake). Today's update- her cousin works for the same company as I do and knows who I am (and put me in the very awkward position of having to admit I have no clue who he is).

They did not tell the couple until they returned from their trip.

A week after this happened, my sister mentioned to me she was having my dad and stepmom babysit her son for the weekend.

Me: "Really? After what they did to the dog?"

It never would have occurred to me to say that about myself for Chicago, but I was dragged to the stage show fully against my will, and I'll watch that movie pretty much any day, so, I've learned something about myself today.

"That cat's feet always pitter-patter, especially when they're running on the carpet! Great to see you!" And off I fucking walked, in the direction (I was mostly sure) we needed to go, and waited a block away for my partner to finish his goodbyes and catch up to me.

Also, shows 2-5 are actually perfectly lined up in order of how excited I am to see them (this whole trip was built around seeing show number 2). Show number one would go after show number 3 in this order (2, 3, 1, 4, 5).

My nickname around the apartment for her has always been "My Musicals Friend", because whenever one of us saw new show, we had to spend 20+ minutes discussing and dissecting. Every time I see a musical now, I'll wonder if she would have loved it. (2/2)
