It’s official, my Senior Executive certified that my continued federal employment is in the public interest! As of 10/07 I am no longer probationary.

💔I served honorably, my entire adult life, not under oath but under contract, seated with and wholly integrated into matrixed mil/civ/ctr teams - as efficient organizations do btw - until four months ago. I transitioned from contractor support, to civil service, for continuity in healthcare.

My agency has been asked to identify the numbers (not names, yet) of probationary employees it has. My leadership says they are providing the numbers, along with rationale for keeping them, but also did implement its own optional hiring freeze, presumably to minimize the firing of recent hires.

Went to three doctors yesterday, with another scheduled, my family is prioritizing getting all the healthcare we foreseeably need while I still have good health insurance. :(
