Also remember the energy sovereignty issue - for example, Belgium has NO uranium, no oil, no cheap coal etc… So every watt it generates with wind/solar is a watt less in trade deficit.

Nuclear is best at base load, gas turbines as nuclear backup, batteries at load stabilising, hydroelectric for variable high industrial loads (aluminium smelting etc), wind and solar are great at being cheap.
