When discussing gen AI and art the conversation often focuses solely on the output- I think we need to talk more about the input.
If the product weren't gen AI, but instead Ghiblify App- trained on countless Ghibli images without permission, the output is wrong no matter how well executed.

The societal devaluation of quality disturbs me. Society benefits from quality housing, clothing, products- rather than cheap and fast slop.
To outsource thought to AI feels like another blow to quality. Cheapening thought is sad.
Some things SHOULD be slower and more expensive.
