Both a more severe disease course during the interval and white matter integrity decreases independently predicted worse cognitive performance at follow-up in participants with major depression

In our 2-year longitudinal follow-up study with >800 participants from the FOR2107 cohort, we showed that participants with major depression have greater decline in white matter integrity compared to healthy participants over time
