It drives me crazy the number of quality of life features in every decent code editor that aren’t replicated in the tools office workers have at their disposal.

This fits with a frustration I’ve had with writing software. I write fact-dense prose professionally (lawyer) and codes as a hobby. I know those who code MSWord wouldn’t dream of using an editor that doesn’t autofill variable names, but I have to manually check to make sure acronyms are consistent.
