Their defense is just so good at tackling across the board. I want to compare to to those Georgia defenses but Indiana doesn’t have the pack of wolves feel to them. It feels more like supercharged Iowa?

The reason I’m stuck on it is that Kaleb is very good at what he does and doesn’t need to resort to the kind of lazy stuff like guys like Mitch Sherman and Sipple are guilty of at time.

Apples and oranges. They added a guy in the winter (Dowdell) and liked him in a room that featured Johnson and Johnson. Why add someone else? They added Blye Hill and then he got hurt in the spring game, therefore necessitating a new DB.

Why would they add someone in a portal window (summer 24) immediately after adding someone? Again, there’s plenty to be critical of, like not adding someone this window, but wording there is disingenuous.

Plenty of legitimate criticisms for the handling of the position but Dowdell was added from the portal. No need to make up a “fourth straight portal without adding running back” line.

“The US bought Louisiana to keep France off the Mississippi.” It was totally American power politics. Not Napoleon launching the ill-fated LeClerc Expedition that cost France more casualties than Waterloo and then desperately needed money to fund the wars in Europe.
