I just crossed the million-point threshold on #Duolingo and #Duo didn’t even acknowledge it with fireworks or a high-five or anything. To be honest, I was expecting some kind of bonus for my monumental efforts. I’m feeling a little overlooked and unappreciated over here. #Gàidhlig #Cymru

I had already learned the word and the word for night (“nos”), but it wasn’t until I finished a unit on numbers that I suddenly saw that “wythnos” literally means #EightNights. #semaine #septimana #septjours 🏴 🇫🇷

I’m not sure what these levels actually correspond to (even as an #ESOL teacher), but I just got to level 9 in #Welsh #Cymraeg, and I’ve got a 60 in #Gaelic #Gàidhlig. I still would have trouble ordering an #IRNBRU in Gaelic in the #Highlands, so who knows what I trouble I might get into in #Wales?

The only thing that could make this #Duolingo exercise better would be to add “do thaigh-seinnse” at the end.
