Thanks! Freeze-drying makes sense since you avoid freeze-thaw cycles. Very instructive for long term storage also. With this method, biases are probably minimal indeed.

Super nice article! Love the discussion of the association between increased number of mobility elements and AMR over time (nested dolls). One question though: freeze-thaw cycles can affect plasmid stability and cell competence; could this be a bias in the NCTC collection?
