I have returned to the internet, and I bring the gift of game reviews with me. I’ve been playing a lot of #Battlefield 6 over the last month and put together my thoughts below 👇
After nearly a decade of missteps, Battlefield 6 marks a confident return to form.
While its campaign is bland and the sandbox needs minor tweaking, the multiplayer delivers the chaotic, fun, all-out-warfare experience fans have been clamouring for.

Battlefield 6 plays it safe, but in doing so, rediscovers what made the series great in the first place

Monster Hunter Wilds features some amazingly designed creatures to fight, and a whole host of endemic life inhabiting its variety of ecosystems.

However, the best inclusion to the game are these fine round B O R Bs.

Never have this kind of luck when opening physical booster packs of the Pokemon TCG 🥲

Some of the hits from the first day of the new Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion.

Genuinely love the art on these cards and hope that they release them in a physical form at some point 😍

I had never played a Final Fantasy game properly until the end of last year. Needless to say, I very much enjoyed it!

That’s Astro Bot finished and Platinumed this evening. What an absolutely wonderful game!

Short and sweet, and doesn’t overstay its welcome, yet is so brimming with love, joy and nostalgia. A brilliant little platformer and a wholesome celebration of 30 years of PlayStation! 💙

Just rolled credits on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. It has some very glaring issues, but these don’t detract from the fact that it’s one of the best games I’ve played in 2024.

It captures the essence of the 80s films so perfectly and captivated me from beginning to end.

Definite recommend!

I’d never properly played a Final Fantasy game before. So about a month ago I decided to give Final Fantasy VII Remake a go. Today I finished it and I absolutely loved it.

The characters, the setting, the music, the story.

I’m so excited to download and continue the story with Rebirth soon!

I was a simp for water types from Generation 3 through 5, and I finally picked my first fire type starter since Generation 2 with Fuecoco in Gen 9 because, I mean, look at my boi, I can’t say no to that face.

(Also Rowlet is my favourite overall starter followed closely by Cyndaquil)

As much as I like Metapod, I would have been livid if I’d opened this pack in Pokémon TCGP quite honestly

Let’s give this bluesky thing a shot, eh?

I play video games and sometimes write about them for @bigredbarrel.bsky.social.

My most recent review was for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, give it a read, won’t you: www.bigredbarrel.com/2024/11/05/p...
