Impossible knitting goal for this year: Decided on Monday evening that I had to knit Mom a vest for Christmas. Done one front and half of back. Working 3 12s over the next 3 days. The odds are not in my favor.

Finished up the first of a pair of fingerless mitts. Already cast on the second.

It is officially winter when I have to wash hand knit socks.

I don’t advise doing cables with superwash. It grows. You need nice recovery to maintain cable definition. I know it’s a bit harder to take care of, and not always great for gifting. I’ve also done a cable project with a wool acrylic blend. Let me look for a pic and see if I noted the yarn brand…..
