Oh my god. It hit me like a freight train in the theater. I took my 11- and 14-year-old girls, and nobody said a word on the way home.

Our elderly neighbors brought us a handmade blanket the week after we came home with our first. She’s 14 now and still snuggles with it for family movie night. Congrats to y’all!

We lost my mom a couple years ago at 65, but damned if I’m not here. Grandmas make the world go round. Happiest of birthdays to your sweet mom.

My mom had lymphoma at 16 and spent a summer at MD Anderson in the early 70s. Before they blasted her with radiation, my grandmother told the docs that they would both save her AND make sure she could have kids.

My mom cut this one out of the paper and put it on the fridge when I was probably 10, and it stayed there until well after I left for college. Tickled the shit out of her for the rest of her life. Thanks for the fun memory.
