like accelerationists are profiting big time off of people's fears and the world would be just so much better if we just took the time to fully think about everything and calm ourselves down. preparing for the worst is good but people let it consume them and That's Not Healthy!

it's scary and it's still entirely possible that these lunatics do it, but idk I just think that the fearmongering is bad and as a society we need to take a step back and pause to think about the situation in full before listening to someone whose thesis is "everything is bad nothing can be done"

like. okay yes three of the justices who dissented are still on the court and they only need 4 to bring it up for discussion but also this would be an immensely unpopular move when they're already mired in a million controversies so I don't think they'd want to overturn it rn

it was just so weirdly mean for no reason??? like saying "but this is why we like you!" after making sure I know that I'm part of a small group and am still weird... doesn't really make it feel less mean?????

like literally??? literally what happened was I was trying to joke abt how while I might be the weirdest person these friends know, I was reminded that there are a ton of people "weirder" than me in fandom spaces (affectionate) and he just. had to hammer home how small fandom is & how weird I am
