while nas remixes have resulted in some of my best personal beats, my personal making illmatic with illmatic would include some or all of the remixes and/or original versions. like the version of "one love" with sadat x, the q-tip mix of "the world is yours", etc.

it's already the better album to me, but also i never liked that premise...haha. if i made my own illmatic it would be superior to the official release though

after bumping both albums back to back myself this am ("it aint hard to tell" is playin currently) it simply is me having an exceptionally high opinion of nas's rapping on the sophomore, and wishing the debut had like 3 more songs so it feels more even a comparision
