I am so sorry for your loss :( We lost two this year suddenly, it's heart rending and I hope both you and your roommate have all the time you need to grieve and heal 💖

I know this is like, 3 days old (I haven't checked my socials in a bit, oop) but my sister is heavy into 14 and has a p big group of friends/a discord for their FC—I could ask her if she and some others wouldn't mind helping someone out, if you want :3
