BIG PONY UPDATE!!

Since the original post was made, snippets from 3 songs from the cancelled DS game’s soundtrack have been recovered. These snippets include a main motif loop for the file select menu, an intense song related to the Wonderbolts, and an unknown boss theme.

According to Gameloft, Sombra is worth around $7 CAD. That’s around the same price as 28 Airheads candies in my area. They usually do 4 for $1 which is pretty gnarly. Cherry Airheads are my favorite. Never really liked the sour strips. Sour candy just isn’t my thing.

Screengrabs have been found from a lost MLP flash game! The plot seemingly involved Pinkie trying to cheer up her sad friends. The game involved the player guiding three of Pinkie Pie’s friends through a level in order to reach a surprise party at the end.

The pen name of J.K. Rowling was actually ripped off from popular Equestrian author A.K. Yearling. Any popularity gained from this has since faded, and she’s now mainly regarded as a crazy transphobic bigot lady, unlike Yearling who is an avid LGBTQ+ supporter.

On August 1st, LEGO is releasing Set 31175 Unicorn Castle. This set is clearly a not so subtle homage to My Little Pony, featuring characters that bear striking similarities to Pinkie Pie and Rarity. Why they didn’t just make an MLP set is unknown. Truly a coward move.

I dunno who the other one is. Golden Harvest/Carrot Top, maybe? It should also be noted that the location of this castle seems to be in a cloud-based location with rainbow motifs, giving Cloudsdale vibes. It’s possible that this set is more so a test to see if there’s an audience for My Little Pony. LEGO has collaborated with Hasbro before on their Transformers sets. MLP-themed sets could be a huge hit with fans of the series and collectors, however it’s entirely possible that this set using nondescript, copyright-free ponies that bear similarities to the characters from MLP is more so a testing grounds to see if this will be as big of a hit with collectors and fans as they’re hoping.

A scrapped magazine promotion for the cancelled G4 video game “My Little Pony: Make Your Mark.” Not much about the game is known other than the fact that it had a customizable avatar character, minigames, a turn-based battle system, and that the main goal was to earn your own Cutie Mark. The game was intended to be the debut of a Hasbro-owned AAA game development studio. Though the reason for the game’s cancellation has been boiled down to “creative differences,” it’s rumoured that it had something to do with the final chapter of the game being “too intense” for the game’s target audience.
