I hear you. I think a big issue is that "Worst" brings in more traffic. Often these lists are "My least favorite" or in the positive "My favorite films of 2025."

My least favorite film this year was Eddington. At the same time I can recognize the craft and the fact that many loved the film.

Way to go dude. I'm running a half tomorrow - and I'll be honest that part of the inspiration to get back into the running routine has been following your journey. So thanks for the motivation brother. Enjoy this Saturday.

I have missed your posts, your thoughts, and your analysis. However, I will not go back to the bad place. I see many posters double post if you want to keep your reach in both places.
October 16, 2025 at 2:03 PM
Congrats dude! Happy for you both!
October 13, 2025 at 5:47 PM
But at least we appreciate it Jeff, we appreciate it!

Thank you for this. That was exactly the information I was looking for.

Way to go brother!! That's amazing. The feeling of completing a marathon is unlike anything else. I also wanted to let you know that I have recently gotten back into running after years away and your posts were part of the inspiration. Keep it up! Keep it up!

Perhaps not, but they'll pass with flying colors if asked about the word Tepid. 🤣

Boy did I misread this. My brain autocorrected your post to see Portland.

I understand much more the disbelief in going to Poland. It wasn't until I heard you verbalize it on the podcast that it all clicked! Have a great time.

Ha - Well good luck and have fun with whatever the nature of your visit. All the best.
July 7, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Is this for the marathon or a big move?
July 7, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Dude - I am so glad you all are doing this. I have been thinking that a Patreon might be the way to go for quite some time and I quickly put my money where my mouth was and became Patron #20. Can't wait to hear the whole gang on a regular basis.

That is horrible. Can I send you the cost of the book or something like that? Small gesture, but that should be going to you and your proprietary work.

I appreciated how honest the conversation was and how open Ryan was to criticism or a different opinion. This was unlike many other interviews/conversations I have heard before. Great work.

Doesn't make me mad. Makes me mad if they don't invite YOU!

If they only knew the power of the BJ Buzz!
May 13, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Definitely! I have fervently searched for East Coast films set in between 1890 and 1910 and have found very few.

Me three! My feelings about this are best summed up in the form of an interjection -- "Woo-Hoo!"
April 30, 2025 at 5:46 PM
This was fantastic and a great listen! Thank you for taking the time to record this.

Thank you for this. I am always thrilled when you put out a piece of film analysis. I learn a ton and enjoy the experience.
April 22, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Hopefully that means more room for comments from people who think you are brilliant and incredibly thoughtful!

Have a happy and less annoying Friday!

Did either of you receive your copies? I am in a similar situation and now see that Unbound has gone out of business.

I feel for Jeff and all the work he put into this AND I would like to get a copy of the books I ordered.

Never thought about it that way before, but it makes a lot of sense. It's the "horse-race"-irication of everything that has been a factor in making lots of news coverage horrible.
