Thank you to the organizers and everyone who showed up for Strongsville OH #NoKings The flags lining the square through Veterans' Day gave us a very patriotic look.

Even the shadows of white asters show how much pollinators love #nativeplants.

My favorite part about going downtown #Cleveland to vote early is the tradition we have of picking up Crispy Chick at Woodland and E. 55th. Best chicken wrap around!

He may have lost a hand, but it's the best I can do with my limited photoshop experience...

Love the fall colors in our yard along with all the insects and birds visiting! A small flock of goldfinch was feasting on the seeds of our purple coneflowers. Be sure to leave those seeds out there. No need to rush into a "clean-up." #nativeflowers

This is not the best quality photo but I have some at my house. I winter sowed them two years ago. They are maybe 8' or 9' tall. Great color!

Can anyone help identify this bird? I was a considerable distance away. This was in Carrollton, Ohio. #birds

The fawn came back today with mom. The fawn even checked out remnants of my #wintersowing.

Just finished an absolutely wonderful book - The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife

It has memorable lines (Grief is love with nowhere to go.) and an optimism for the power of kindness that I really needed right now.

I went to check our tiny yard with lots of #nativeplants for Monarch cats. Found this little one instead nestled in the milkweed and bee balm. It's now behind the garage. Not sure how it got here among all the fenced yards.

Here's a Cedar Waxwing checking things out.

I'm hoping some #nativeplants people can help me. Here are two Spiderwort plants bought together and planted about 5 or 6' apart. What's going on with the yellow leaves?

The last of my #birds photos from Magee Marsh yesterday. One photo even has two species in it -- a two-for-one special!

Found a couple of non-birds during a day of birding yesterday. These were at the Maumee Bay Visitor Center and Magee Marsh. #herps #nature

We had a wonderful day of birding on the last day of @biggestweekbirding.bsky.social where we went to Magee Marsh and the Maumee Bay Visitor Center. Here are a couple of the non-warblers we saw, a Green Heron and a Black-crowned Night Heron. I'll be posting more over the next few days. #birds

Rhododendron in bloom attracted a host of bees and butterflies. The tongue of the butterfly is too cool to see in action. #naturephotography #bees
