I think that picture is Jake, Reiner's other son. You have a picture of Nick further down in the article, did you really think those are the same guy? This is gross, but also sloppy!

Isn't most pasta made in the US, though? I would assume the Italian import segment is a pretty small percentage, right? (Not defending the tariffs in general, of course, but this one seems pretty benign, no?)

I was outed on a tourist on my first trip to NY when I asked how to get to Houston St. I received a correction dripping with disdain. I treasure the memory of this most quintessential NY experience.

What is the "Biden autopen scandal" doing in this list? Is he losing track of which conspiracies are his?

Reminds me of starting for home after big solar eclipse in '17. We're looking at thousands of cars trying to get on the interstate in a tiny town in SW Wyoming. Total gridlock and Google was just ignoring that data and saying it was a normal drive-time. It wouldn't even suggest an alternate route!

I'm from Tennessee and worked as a teen with a fellow named - honest to God - Bubba Boner. He was a junior and his real name was Harry. He was related to a famously corrupt Nashville mayor, Bill Boner.

My film club watched this last summer as part of a South American deep dive. It was... challenging for many of us! Supplemental reading, before and after, was essential. Very memorable, though, and shocking in the modernity and complexity of its themes.

I watched the last of the nominees last night (Maria) and it's pretty here and there but not even in the same class of achievement as Nickel Boys. Not remotely.

I just saw Hard Truths two days ago and was bowled over by it. IMO it should be in Picture, Director, Screenplay, plus Jean-Baptiste, Michele Austin, and David Webber. I would have settled for a Jean-Baptiste nom, though!
