Let me be clear:
𝐀𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝.
𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐔𝐏. ✊

This protest reminded me why I believe in this country, not in politicians, but in the kind of the people that I marched along with on Saturday. People who share the belief that this country belongs to ALL of us - not just the wealthy and powerful.

But even in the face of that revolting display of ego, something bigger was happening. It wasn’t just outrage that filled our streets - it was unity. It was hope.

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧.

𝐖𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲.

This was one of the 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 - with more than 13 million Americans marching in all 50 states.

And while we were in the streets, standing up for our rights, Trump was blowing $𝟓𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐭𝐚𝐱 𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 on a military-style birthday bash.
