"This enthralling vampire-western (only in the horror genre!) starts with a bang, slows down for a bit to allow for some backstory & further character development, then throttles full force to the gruesome & quite emotional ending!"

"As I noted, the story within a story within the story adds further insight into Roland Deschain, & whenever I get around to rereading THE GUNSLINGER: THE DARK TOWER I, I have a pretty good feeling I'll enjoy it much more than I did the first time."

"Being that this particular Constant Reader is extremely late to the game as far as this iconic series is concerned, I was able to read it in sequence, & I must say it fits in perfectly following WIZARD AND GLASS: THE DARK TOWER IV!"
