This is the barn of a soy bean farmer. It is my great grandmother’s barn. You can see it if you drive from Lansing to Grand Rapids on 96. Why can you see it? Because MDOT built a highway right up against it years ago.

I haven’t fired a gun in 10+ years. The last time I did, I was in uniform. Just thinking about going to a range makes me anxious. So it was pretty cathartic reclaiming a skill/hobby that I used to love so much. I will definitely be going back. More rust to clean off.

They are finally safe inside frames where cat paws can’t touch them. Well…the plush had to be tucked away. Eventually I’ll have a professional frame these properly.

Today I got to tour the Edsel Ford family museum. There is some truly beautiful scenery and architecture. Also a lot of reminders of just how fucked things can be. It’s no secret Henry and Edsel Ford were war profiteers and Nazi sympathizers. That allowed them to live like royalty.

Excellent special. Followed it up by rewatching “From Bleak to Dark”. There’s just something about watching a special and thinking “good I’m not the only one” and then later on going “oh man, am I that crazy too? Oh well, fuck it.”

Been waiting for this kit to come out. I don’t think I’ve ever done a Lego Technic kit before. They are definitely more intricate, detailed, and challenging. If you miss a step or alignment, prepare for some frustration to right your wrong.
Overall very satisfying though.
