Seven years ago, planning a new nonprofit newsroom out of coffee shops + a 10x10 office, we didn’t know if @blockclubchi.bsky.social would work.
But our readers had our backs.

Since then, we've told nearly 28,000 stories.
We’ve grown from 8 to nearly 40 full-time staffers.
And our reporting has changed laws, led to criminal charges + uplifted our city.
