With the amount of mechanics in my puzzle game, some of them just end up looking like the game is broken

somehow the 'magic that removes all collision in the world' is not that broken

Rhell glitches really are like 'yeah sometimes if you put a dummy in this exact spot it casts magic on the player regardless of where she is'

the most useful mechanic in my puzzle game is this one where spells will only activate after a trigger function is activated

i like using this combination to make magical effects only occur once the player steps on an object

My indie puzzle game lets the player combine key words to create over 100,000,000 unique magical effects

while i designed my puzzle game to work like a metroidvania it ended up being open ended enough that with enough creativity alot of the barriers can be ignored or bypassed

one of my favourite early game ones is ignoring the introductory npc and instead jumping out the window

I love how normal average systems you can make in Rhell just look like weird speedrun tech

this is a setup i realised was possible to launch across a huge part of my indie games map, and it was so fun to do i kept it in the game

I was recording this to show off the 'random' effect in my indie game, where it randomized a magical effect across 100,000,000 different magic effects.

But it accidentally made one of the weirdest magic effects iv even seen iin my game :o

a question i get alot about my magic indie game is if the player can get soft locked?

and you definitly can in some of the oddest ways by creating automatic loops to softlock yourself

In indie game there are plenty of weird magic combos that rhell can make, but one of the weirdest is the combination that happens if you try to cast a spell that both brings something to life and destroys it

The SECRET mechanic with my indie games elemental system is that when objects are transformed into snow they grow in size as they move around

This also applies to the player when she is transformed too
