A big pale pink book tipped upwards by a hand and resting on a green duvet cover. The book has been bookmarked in many places, it is ‘How to Tell When We Will Die’ by Johanna Hedva. The cover is lettering in a nice big chunky font, with a scattering of little red starbursts and an old medical depiction of an autopsy. The cover of a slim brown book, with its title and authors in quiet brown writing - almost the opposite of the previous one if you can imagine. There is a blue-toned, brush-stroked painting of a suited person falling (lying?) on their side, while a second smaller figure looks on with their hand to their face. The book itself is resting on some bedding with a hand to support it. More ‘books on bedspread’ - this time it’s Permafrost and Boulder, by Eva Baltasar. The covers both feature black ink illustrations of pensive dark haired women, smoking & thinking. The books are resting on a 60s-70s era duvet cover, brown with little yellow flowers on it. Last one - a selection of little books about prehistoric petroglyphs, ancient rock art and coin art laid out across a green striped duvet cover.
