I think this prosecution is different because (1) it’s at the President’s explicit command, and (2) the DOJ has acknowledged that there isn’t a sufficient factual basis.

When the President orders one of his political enemies to be charged with crimes — even though the DOJ acknowledges there’s no evidence to support charges — and, bingo, the charges are brought, there’s no other term for it.
