Finally, the symposium was closed out by 70 posters presented in two sessions from our high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral researchers. 5/6

The final two oral presentations were from Kyle Oberkrom on the GPR183 axis in painful inflammatory conditions, and Waruna Thotamune on structure-guided protein engineering to probe GPCR signaling dynamics! 4/6

We then heard five brief talks from Daphne Kim on NaV1.8 control of DRG neurons, Elora Koski on screening novel compounds against ESCAPE pathogens, Amelia Fox, Ph.D. on SIX transcription factors role in FSHD, 3/6

The symposium was led by an excellent keynote address from Cory Berkland, who discussed the influence of market and regulatory feedback on shaping research in a biotech setting (and how that feedback enables the bench to biotech transition). 2/6

Congratulations to all co-authors in the Salvemini and DiPaolo labs. Important work defining pain mechanisms and supporting drug repurposing and novel discovery to treat neuropathic pain.
