For the second session of the 'Law and the Paper Archive' reading circle series, we will meet on Wednesday, 10th December to discuss Mohsin Alam Bhat's article '(Un)Credible Citizen: Citizenship Dispossession, Documents and the Politics of the Rule of Law’ (2024) with Prof. Darshana Mitra. For the first session, we read Rosalind O'Hanlon's ‘In the Presence of Witnesses: Petitioning and Judicial “Publics” in Western India, circa 1600–1820’ (2019), with Prof. Samyak Ghosh.
