i think the way people, esp abuse survivors, view stories through their own lens is the most valuable thing in the world, and to act like there’s 1 right way and 1 wrong evil immoral way makes me so anxious.

the movie itself created very few thoughts/feelings in me (liked it! thought it was very well done!) but the discourse has been driving me bonkers.

movie is absolutely FULL of academy award winning actors saying the silliest dialogue you’ve ever heard while being slutty, and is secretly about coping with abuse and defeating your abuser. quite literally what is not to love
